Notice of Proposed Substantial Amendment to
2020 Action Plan

OECD will be accepting public comments beginning on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, for a period of Five (5) days on a Substantial Amendments of the 2020 Action Plan that will include additional $1,522,531 in CDBG-CV funds made available by the Cares Act We welcome comments on prioritizing needs of Scranton City residents such as housing, workforce development, small business relief and public health.
This Notice provides citizens an opportunity for a period of five (5) days to comment. All written comments must be received by the City of Scranton’s OECD by no later than end of business day on Tuesday October 6, 2020.
Only after the public comment period is completed and legislation passed and signed by the Mayor, will OECD then submit the proposed Substantial Amendment for review by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD has forty-five (45) days to approve the Substantial Amendment.
